Not Much Has Changed: A look at medieval times and today

It is said that history repeats itself but isn’t it more accurate to say that people allow history to repeat itself. Ney it is even more accurate to say that history repeats the same scam over and over again throughout history.
If one takes a look a back in the 1700s one finds that England was hiring mercenaries to fight there wars. More specifically German mercenaries (though not exclusively). The biggest group to be hired was the Hannover mercenaries ran by the House of Hannover.
In 1688 an event in England called The Great Revolution set in power The House of Orange-Nassau through the manipulation of the Puritans to overthrow the British Royal Family of Stuart. After the death of Anna, King William’s sisters who succeed him The House of O-N handed over control of the British control to the Hannover Family (Whom Ruled England until 1901 but current royal family members are descendants of the German family Hannover).
The House of O-N started a war with France and hired German mercenaries to fight it. This tradition was continued by the House of Hannover after power was handed to them as was previously agreed upon.
In short it is easy to see that these Elites started wars and then profited from them. Even if unseated they would only return to their homelands with a swath of treasure in tow from the profits they made from the wars they had started.
In the year 2000 Bush was put into power in what is still arguably today a controversial election. President Bush went on to invade Afghanistan and Iraq hiring thousands of mercenaries to fight the wars. Not only were mercenaries given nice paychecks but also several corporations who would handle reconstruction.
Now there were many groups that had association with the Bush family directly like Halliburton who received a 1.2 billion dollar contract in Iraq. That is just one sited case but the list could go on and would be quiet extensive.
It is easily argued that Bush was given power and in return rewarded their friends and associates with contracts and bonuses from starting wars that allow for these groups to profit.
History has repeated itself. Maybe in different larger and more sophisticated way but still repeated itself. Does it really look like anything has changed between 1700s and today? Let’s take a look same scam, same pointless wars, same people profiting. Guess it really hasn’t changed all that much, has it?
